A Song Sketch Resurrected!
These vocals gave me chills.... I would love for this to get thrown at Mikey! Thank you for sharing this gem.
I guess it’s a good thing you likely didn’t share this with the rest of your band so it isn’t a rotting sandwich, just yet?
What if your ideas are kind of like Levain or sourdough bread in general? As your environment changes, your starter (ideas) change with it. Your band mates add different types of flour, ingredients, folding methods, and us (your fans) get to devour the fresh loaf that y’all deliver with your music. I’ve been baking since I was a kid so take this thought process with a grain of salt.
Love the song and lyrics. Thank you for sharing.
Those full of God live outside the faith...because they don’t have their eyes closed
Such a beautiful dreamy sound comes from that old bathroom 🌺🌺🙄🙄a beautiful mesmerizing dizzying vibration your voice & guitar makes ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥 thank you 🦋🦋
I wish you would have put this on The Wild Trapeze. This is such a beautifully well written song that has powerful emotion flowing through your guitar into your vocals. I loved it so much. Thank you for sharing it with us. It definitely deserves a home on one of your records.
This song goes hard in the paint! Thank you for sharing, friend. 🙏🏻
I find all of your lyrics more relevant now than ever.
Happy Maybon! Thank you for sharing this with us on such a beautiful autumn day. The harmonies are so hauntingly beautiful! The lyrics still stayed true today. Now I'm gonna go make some tea and bask in this beautiful rainy day and enjoy listening to this a few more times. 🙌
Happy Autumn, Brandon!! Thank you for sharing another beautiful demo with us. The way the vocals were recorded give the song an amazing vibe. It's perfect the way it is. I love the lyrics and melodies; very haunting. What a wonderful way to begin the fall. Also, I know tomorrow marks the 10 year anniversary of Sons of The Sea. Happy Anniversary!!
I also appreciate how you support artists. And I love that you know how to play the digeridoo. And that you made it work in a rock song. It takes real talent to put all those different styles of music together andmake it sound amazing. Youinspired me every day to break out of my comfort zone as an artistand a person. I can't wait till you put that song on an album. It is amazing.
One of my favorite things about this one is the harmonizing. When a lower voice and a higher, sweeter voice pair together and intertwine so perfectly, it gives me chills...it's just so uniquely expressive and wonderful to listen to. I also love the very introspective and philosophical nature of the lyrics: singing gives these kinds of thoughts one of the best outlets, and for people like me, I often end up reflecting myself after listening! If this was published as a solo song, it would definitely fit in on The Wild Trapeze. If it was published as an Incubus song, I feel like it would be perfect on If Not Now When. Either way, I am so grateful you shared this lovely song with us as always!
I hope that you, Sarah, and the doggos are doing well and enjoying some well-deserved rest and family time after touring for so long. Thank you again for making my experience seeing you in Bonner so incredibly special and memorable. Thank you for telling me "keep on drawing" and showing so much love to my art. I will always hold the kindness that you and the rest of the guys have shared with me close to my heart. Sending hugs from rainy Washington, as always! (=^w^=)
I love this🥰 thankyou for sharing. You have such a beautiful soul.
Happy autumn 🍂 I honestly love the way the vocals sound 😊 Gonna relax and listen to this multiple times because it’s beautiful! Thank you, as always, for sharing this with us ✨
Happy Autumn 🍂!! The superior season by a long shot! “Those full of God live outside the faith...” such a truthful line. As always, thank you for sharing with us :)!
Wow. I feel so lucky to be here. Thank you 🙏🏼
Powerful. Been looking for something to inspire work-related things. These lyrics also hit home for me in a meaning-making/spiritual way. Thanks for sharing.
