I see we have some kindred spirits here. Thanks for the recommendations about freezing the gummy bears, though I’ll likely bring my own. To the person asking about my dreamed of places when I think about traveling, I often dream of Mediterranean Europe. I’ve spent time here and there but almost always in a work capacity. I definitely long for weeks and even months of wandering in some of these temperate places. My mother’s side of the family originated from parts of Mexico and Spain and there’s a continual calling towards these places for me that I WILL eventually respond to. Thanks, you guys. Happy Valentime's Day.

Awesome! I understand the calling to visit the places family comes from. For me I cannot wait to visit Sweden and Denmark. The farthest I have traveled was Vietnam and China comes in second. I relate and feel the same exact way you do in this time about traveling. As much as it is a huge part of me, the exploration of new places, people and things the logistics are often just something that no one cares to deal with but necessary. In the end it’s worth it because life is short and memories and feelings are all we will take with us when we go 🌷

Happy birthday Brandon!! I had no idea you had strong connections with my natal Spain. I love it when you pronounce “gracias” with a Spanish accent when touring in South America. Touché!!!

I love travelling too, but on my motorcycle. It's like you're always out, you're always with the sun and the rain and the butterflies crossing your way. Waking up before the sun goes up and literally watching it ascending in the sky while you're on the road, alone, just you and a helmet? Well, I can't put it into words, but trust me, it's just different than any other kind of trip!

HBD Brandon!

Traveling, I love it!! Not airports so much but the plane ride is quite wonderful being able to look down and kind of pretend you're in space. I enjoy the feelings of new places and watching the people. How they differ and how they are the same. I sat in Rome one day for a number of hours watching and feeling the city. The business, the wonder and excitement on the tourists faces. Then I began to feel saddened like there were a lot losses in the area I was sitting. Makes you wonder what happened long ago in some areas. I do remember a very strong feeling when I stepped out of the airport in Bologna. It felt just like home even though it was the first time I had ever been across the ocean. I never once got lost. I even had people ask me for directions. I truly believe that every city has its own vibe!! Cheers! Happy Valentine's Day to you all!!

I’ve never been out of the US. Wondering where my first trip should be to? Although, I must admit I feel pretty lost in my own hometown. I think traveling may be the only way to truly find myself. Hmm…

Beautiful love letter. I also enjoy getting lost on purpose. My favourite place to do that has to be Venice, Italy. And at nighttime. There’s something magical, mysterious, and romantic about experiencing the Venetian cityscape and the narrow cobblestone streets at night. I especially love seeing the lights of the city being reflected in the canal waters. Can’t wait to get lost there again!

I just got back from Death Valley and Joshua Tree—and it is so weirdly wonderful to feel at home, and yet, totally otherworldly at the same time. The stark contrast been LA, Santa Monica, and both high and low deserts…just an orgasmic tapestry of visual cacophony. What a place to be able to hang your hat in between what will inevitably be so many more earthly adventures, Brandon 💜🌎

It really is wonderful to be able to travel.. Among my desires are perhaps one day to be able to stick out my tongue and let a snowflake fall on it or maybe close my eyes while sakura petals fall on my face, taste some dish perhaps rare but delicious, let me float on a crystal clear river. I long to see them one day play as I shake my hair and arms while my lips hum their song. I really hope to meet you one day down the road ♥️

Alaska. I met you at red rocks. Spoke of the aurora and that summer y’all came. Aurora is out in winter if you dare to travel here again. 💚

Agree. Always shed that top layer of bedding. I miss travel, too, for as many of the reasons written in your post. I also miss escaping from the monotony we can fall into moving from one task to another, one day to the next. Make the lunches, attend the meetings, do the laundry, pick up the toys at the end of the day, and so on. Getting out of my daily routine makes me appreciate it more when it’s time to return. Sometimes you have to get lost to find yourself again. ❤️
