Beautiful! I love this… your voice is so calming. Soothing. This is a wonderful dedication to the reign of rain.

I myself, bring from a quite rainy city. I’m still thrilled today by the joys of rain. It’s cleaning of the air. Is like a cleansing of the soul and spirit.

A glorious day to you sunshine superstar!

As a Pacific Northwest girl born and raised, I absolutely resonate with your praise and admiration of the rain and its beautiful effects on nature. I come from Olympia, west of the Cascade mountain range, and we get rain for something like nine months of the year. All this rain is why there's so much greenery, forests, and other lush natural beauty all across this side of the state (including the Hoh rainforest, which if I remember correctly is one of the world's *only* temperate rainforests). Everyone in Olympia and the surrounding areas has a rain jacket and a pair of rubber boots. We all fall asleep to the sound of rain at night. I'm currently living in a place East of the Cascades where the mountains block the rain clouds, so I play rain sounds on my phone instead. Rain is comforting, and a reminder of home and my roots.

It's hard for me to imagine what it's like to live in a place like southern California where rain can be so rare. Like you, I sure hope it never gets to a point where people have to fight over it, which is another reason why we should take climate change and global warming seriously!! Droughts are scary!

Thank you as always for this beautiful little story, and for reading it to us too. Your voice always soothes me- singing or speaking it makes me happy 💖 hope you are enjoying some nice time off to relax and recharge before the last leg of the tour.

Sending all the hugs to you. 💖

Beautiful sentiment, as always. On the mid-Atlantic coast, we see rain much more often, but it’s always welcome - even celebrated, as far as I’m concerned. Sure, it lessens my gardening labors and stimulates new growth both literally and metaphorically, but I also love all the sounds related to its presence. It’s like nature’s muzak - you can use it as white noise to help you focus or relax, or, if you listen closely enough, you can find something familiar and comforting in the simplicity of its song.

My college years were spent further inland, in a valley that, for some anomalous reason, didn’t get thunderstorms. I didn’t realize until I heard thunder while home for a visit that the absence of the sound of that grounding rumble created somewhat of a void in part of my identity.

I also love the petrichor - the smell of a damp, fresh surface, cleansed of the dusty, polluted air, and the promise of a fresh start. Your expression of that clarity and hope in ‘Petrichor’ makes it one of my favorite songs on E&C.

In the words of the great Shel Silverstein,

“I love the rain. It makes a stain. It turns my dirt to mud again. And one more time, I should explain: I really, really love the rain”

May the rain bring growth, revitalization, continued healing, and clarity for you today.

Please tell me you danced in it Brandon ♡ Hallelujah! Rain in Cali! I live in Ohio, where it is raining as I type this. I grew up on the west coast and have always considered it my home. My heart has been extremely heavy watching my beloved west burning down and drying up. Thank you for sharing this wonderful news with us. Enjoy every little drop of your cosmic blessing. Love and Light dear Brandon 💕 ps, how's the surf?

This moody and atmospheric weather certainly makes me very, very happy as well. If I could get some more wind and lightning I’d literally be over the moon. It’s just too bad everyone out here forgets how to drive the moment it drizzles :D. Great luck to have such weather during your down time at home! 🤍🤍🤍

We have similar concerns out here in Colorado but I keep the same things in mind and never complain for the same reasons. I have been telling people for years that future wars will be fought over basic resources, especially water. I feels like that day will likely happen in our lifetime, which is scary.

We received a lot of rain on Saturday which led to harvesting several tomatoes on Sunday that burst due to that unexpected moisture. This just means tomato tarts, galettes, and soup will be in my future which I’ll take any day of it means more rain. Hopefully the weather will be kind to us all at Red Rocks!

I'm in the Midwest. We get rain quite often, however, I feel the same when the skies darken, the clouds swirl and the rain comes. It's always been very calming to me - and even as a child, my mother would often find me out in the yard, in the downpour, jumping in puddles and just watching it fall. Beautifully written. Thank you.

Thank you for this. I found it healing for my grieving heart as I said goodbye to a cherished family member today. I feel like I also received some cosmic blessings and therefore sitting in great gratitude. When leaving the hospice centre, I wanted to walk down to the river valley nearby in honour of my loved one. It was an unusually and gloriously warm day for this time of year, I noticed that the street we needed to walk down was 111 street, we walked past a flower bed filled with angel wings (my loved one is now with the angels - not to mention one of my fave plants), and when we arrived at our destination, a man was sitting in the grass playing guitar and singing Tom Petty’s ‘Free Falling’ and when we walked past him he sang out “And I’m freeeee…” I believe all signs that my grandma has transitioned peacefully. ❤️🙏🏼🥲 Hope you’re enjoying your well-deserved time off and that your back is all healed! And enjoy the rain. ❤️

Gloomy day here in Michigan as well. I feel for my kids, having only a few free hours before the school week begins again and 'mommy it's raaaaaining!'

They've braved it in ten minutes increments with fun light up rubber boots but still, the whining 😂

I like it though. Plus it's a good excuse to watch excessive football.

I'll see you at Red Rocks. It's the first time I've flown in ten years and I'm flying alone and I'm not gonna lie to you, little nervous 😅😅 it's gonna be great though, and a full moon? Can't wait to howl with ya. 🖤🖤🖤
